Habitat ReStore sells quality home construction materials and certain other goods and fixtures at deep discounts.  Proceeds enable Habitat for Humanity of Southeastern Connecticut to build more houses.

Besides helping people save money and helping to build affordable housing in Southeastern Connecticut, the ReStore is helping to protect the environment by reducing the amount of usable items that end up in landfills and the energy it takes for disposal.

Hours

The Habitat ReStore is open to the public!  400 New London Road, Salem, CT (in the Salem Country Garden Plaza) Store days and hours are: Thursday/ Friday/ Saturday 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM and Sunday 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

ReStore will operate as noted below during the Spring and Summer:  

Closed: Easter Sunday, April 4th , Memorial Day Sunday, May 30th, and Saturday, July 3rd and Sunday July 4th

Open:  Mother's Day Sunday, May 9th

Volunteering

The Habitat ReStore needs your help to

• Stock and organize shelves
• Load and unload trucks
• Answer phones
• Provide customer service

Volunteers are accepted any time that the ReStore is open. Volunteers must take the Foundations of Habitat Class prior to volunteering. Please sign up for this class through Volunteer UP.

Recycle Your Unneeded Materials - The Habitat ReStore can sell your donated items and the proceeds will help build homes with families in need.

We accept donations of new and used materials and fixtures in 100% working condition from business closeouts, contractors / builders, garage sales, discontinued items, and remodeling jobs.  For more information about what we accept, visit the Non-Monetary Donations page.
