 So you’d like to lend a hand to Habitat for Humanity, but you’re wary of wielding a hammer or saw. Soon there will be a host of new ways to volunteer - when the local affiliate finalizes plans for its first ReStore. Habitat ReStores are up and running in at least 45 states and Canada, selling quality donated home construction materials and certain other goods and fixtures at deep discounts. Proceeds enable Habitat chapters to build more houses.

Broad Street Rehab

tape measure Habitat for Humanity has obtained, through a generous anonymous donation, a distressed property in need of rehabilitation. This property, a Victorian style home built in 1884 located at 385 Broad Street, New London, has been unoccupied for years but now represents a perfect opportunity for Habitat to participate in helping the City of New London take one step closer toward its goal of neighborhood revitalization.
